Pre Prep

Our Pre Prep has a wide range of facilities to enrich the girls' education. These include purpose-built classrooms, an area for performance, assemblies and indoor and outdoor play areas, together with a kitchen and an observation area which may be used by parents. Our excellent and dedicated teaching staff are supported by trained Nursery Nurses and Classroom Assistants so that the adult:child ratio is always favourable.

Specialist teaching is also provided in drama, dance, music and physical education and additional support if given with reading to ensure all pupils make appropriate progress.  Laptops and Interactive Whiteboards are used throughout the department to develop ICT skills and enhance learning.

At Halstead we offer a broad curriculum and learning is enhanced through themes, workshops, educational visits and extra curricular activities.
